SPECIALTIES

DISORDERED EATING

ATHLETES

We often try to manipulate our bodies into being a certain way - but we end up exhausted and never feeling "good enough." Trying to control our bodies can look like restricting, bingeing, purging, over-exercising, or chronic body image concerns. The journey can feel intimidating but it is possible to live and experience your body, food, and exercise without fear.

The role of mental health in athletic performance is incredibly crucial. Athletes face unique pressures and often have to override their bodies. In doing so, emotions can feel like they are getting in the way of success. Nervous system regulation can  support athletes by connecting them to their bodies and helping them thrive both in and out of their sport.

CHRONIC STRESS + ILLNESS

Chronic illness and stress can leave our bodies in a constant state of overwhelm. When we get stuck in fight, flight, or freeze, life becomes immensely difficult which can aggravate our symptoms. Together we will work on creating safety in the body, processing trauma, and decreasing the pain and stress cycles often present in chronic hypervigilance

TRAUMA

Trauma, or any event in the past or present that is causing significant distress, plays a role in the daily lives of many. Surviving any type of  traumatic event, situation, or relationship can leave us feeling hopeless and lost. Healing is a realistic outcome of processing trauma and associated emotions through therapy.

ANXIETY + DEPRESSION

Our lives often do not allow for the space needed to feel our feelings and process our distress which can lead to a perpetual state of anxiety and depression. Increasing our connection to our bodies and emotions through nervous system regulation can decrease our distressful symptoms and help life feel less overwhelming.

EMDR

"EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy technique that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference."Read more about EMDR’s efficacy here.

SESSION TYPES

INDIVIDUALS

$230 per 50-minute session

We all need individual support at various points in our lives. I treat individuals ages 13+ through a family-systems perspective. I view your family story and present experience of relationships as powerful factors that have shaped you. Together we will set goals and work towards relief and lasting change. When working with teens, I work closely with the guardians to keep teens safe while allowing them the space they need to heal.

FAMILIES & COUPLES

$250 per 55-minute session

When families are facing conflict or trauma, getting multiple members in the room can be crucial to moving forward. I work with families and couples to find peace and healing. I also offer parent coaching sessions to help parents of teens and young adults both with and without the teen present.

CONSULTATIONS

$200 per 55-minute session

Both trauma and eating disorders require experience and specialized care. I am happy to support mental health professionals as they work with these populations. Our time together could include treatment planning, problem solving, and general psychoeducation to help you feel comfortable in your clinical practice as you help your clients heal.

I am an out-of-pocket provider, which means I do not accept insurance. If your insurance covers out-of-pocket providers, I would be happy to provide you with a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

I offer free 15 minute consultations to make sure we are a good fit and to answer any initial questions.
